Gyan is performed by touching your index fingertip with your thumb while holding the other fingers straight. Placing hands on your thighs while holding hands in position, but keeping arms relaxed from the shoulder.

This is similar to Gyan mudra with the Vaya mudra you connect the thumb to the knuckle of the index finger. Opposed to the tip of the finger as with the Gyan. Press the index finger to comfort level.

Ganesha Mudra
This mudra is named after the Hindu Ganesh and is widely used. It is used to remove obstacles. Reliving all types of obstruction in your life. Regaining positivity and courage during hard times. When performing Ganesha, you bring your awareness and energy to the heart center. Opening up the lungs and heart to the subject of your meditation.
Ganesha has mental and spiritual benefits, also on your heart chakra. Cardiac muscles also benefit and are great for releasing tension in this area of the body.
Method:
Place left hand in front of chest with the palm facing outward and left thumb down. Next place your right hand in front of your left with your right palm facing toward the body and left palm locking finers together holding in a claw-like position.
During meditation, inhale deep holding your hands in this gesture, then pull outwardly on your hands as you exhale without unlocking your fingers. Repeat up to six times then reverse gesture. Right hand in front of your chest and facing outward with the thumb down. Performing the mudra the same number of times in each direction.

Dhyana Mudra
Buddha is often pictured in this gesture, and Dhyana mudra is shared across several eastern meditation disciplines. This mudra brings you into a deeper, more profound concentration. Bringing you tranquility and inner peace.
Method:
Practicing Dhyana mudra, sit with your hands facing upward, your right hand resting on top of your left palm. The right hand represents enlightenment and higher spiritual faculties resting over the left hand, representing the world of Maya, or illusion.
