What is Yoga? What are its Benefits and Purpose to Enhance Life

Yoga is an expression of who you are. Whether you dance, write, act, art, or play a musical instrument. Whatever you do, you may be conscious or unconscious of it. As a result, everything you say and do that comes out of you is essentially an expression of who you are.

Yoga is the opposite of who you are because it is not an expression of who you are. It’s about determining who you are. It’s about deciding what you want to be. We change the very fundamentals of one’s existence.

Medical and Scientific Evidence

Scientific evidence shows that the very fundamentals of your brain, chemistry, even your genetic content can be changed by practicing different aspects of yoga. Other cultures did not need these scientific and medical studies, for they have known and practiced them for centuries.

Now the science data proves this. This is not an expression of who you are; it’s about determining the nature of who you wish to be. Therefore, changing the fundamental ingredients which have made you what you are.

Yoga is a System

Yoga is a system that needs much more involvement than any other things that one, or forms that we do, which is an expression of who we are. If you find the full expression of any particular activity, it may leave you somewhat transformed. As a result, if you cook with all your heart, some transformation may happen. Taking care of an animal with all your heart can change your life. Some transformations may occur. Dancing with all your heart, some transformation may happen. A specific impact that arises out of sure involvement in a particular activity by nature expresses who you are. So when we transform our activity, not as an expression of who we are. It is not an expression. It is a means, a technology through which we can change the shape of who we are, literally also otherwise.

Who You Are Right Now is an Expression of Your Identity

In other words, who you are right now as a person is a combination of things. Genetics, karma, substance you carry because you chose a particular womb to be born from. Also, since the day you were born, what kind of impressions have gone into you. From our parents and society in experiences, situations, thoughts, emotions, relationships, associations. Whatever else you have embarked on in this life. All of these things make us a certain kind of person.

When referring to a “certain kind of person,” we refer to the kind of compulsions. These are compulsions we identify ourselves with. Such as, “I am a morning person,” “I am a nice person,” “I am a mother,” “I am a father,” “I am an X Box Gamer,” “I am an Apple phone person.” These are all types of ways we become identified with these devices, and they become part of our identity instead of the tools we use. They cannot be us, who we are. They become a sense of identification we have adapted to. We are certain types of compulsions.

The Process of Yoga

When we sit in the process of yoga, we do not want to be this kind or that kind of person. We become what we are required to be in a particular moment. If it’s morning, you’re a morning person; if it is evening, you’re an evening person. We become flexible; we start working on our body, to begin with, then it should come to every aspect of our lives.

Our physical structure, emotional structure, karmic structure, everything should become flexible. We can be whatever we are required to be. We are not stuck in being this way or that way.

Yoga is a Process

Yoga is a process, a method, technology, a science. Essentially, we break the limitations; there is a specific conquer, a realization that happens, which we call our personality—evolving from a person to a presence. You have made a shell out of yourself if you’re a person. We have formed a shell, from which that shell we have become we can only operate. If we break the surface, you will no longer be a person, but a presence, as life is, just a presence. When encased in a shell, it becomes a person.

Everything is in Existence Cycler

Yoga means slowly we work to make this shell thinner and more pores, and one day we can exist without a shell. Essentially Yoga means Morning “sonotherna” why is it the way it is? Therefore, all physical aspects are in a cycle; the planets go around the sun, everything is moving, in motion, the cosmos is cycler. The more you identify with your physical system, the more cycler you are.

Therefore, are you haveing experiences or cycler situations? The process of life is cycler; even situations in your life, if you pay attention, come in cycles. Yoga means, on one level, to break the cycle of life. What is the cycle? We want to break it open and make it a straight line. Because if our life is going in cycles, we are not going anywhere. We have the impression we are going somewhere, but we are going through the same thing repeatedly.

Yoga is opening the circle into a straight line; you go somewhere if you follow the line. We are no longer going around and around repeating the same situations in our life.

Memory in the System

If you have done southerner for years, once you stop it for a few months, suddenly you will see many compulations you have not done in many years will come back. Suddenly they come back as part of you again. Compulsions are types of memory in the system, memories, karmic memories, (information) in memories. So we carry vast amounts of memory. Mental and psychological memory, every kind.

Without this memory, our bodies would not take form. Your body knows it has to take this form. In the mother’s womb, we have the genetic memory of two eyes, arms, legs, kidneys, etc. Without genic memory, who knows what form we may take. You have never seen women deliver a rabbit, tiger, or elephant. We all have taken on this form only by memory in the system. Memory means “past.” As a result, if memory only determines your nature right now, it means you have a “past” or life has passed you. There are no real-life experiences, just a play of memory held in the system. You are on this repeated cycle in your life, not going anywhere. You are not breaking free from the shell that has you incased from experiencing life to its full potential.
